Welcome!

Congratulations for taking this step. Maybe you’re actively seeking help or maybe you’re mildly curious. Whatever the reason, there comes a time when we are faced with things that we might not feel we’re equipped to handle during our journey here on earth. An integral part of the human experience is pain and strife. I truly believe we are all doing the best that we can with what we know and have, but we shouldn’t always have to bear it alone.

About Therapy

There is no greater agony than bearing the untold story inside of you - Maya Angelou

Perhaps you're down or anxious - maybe you're unsure about the future of a relationship or grieving a loss, or maybe you just feel that you aren't living the life you were meant to lead. Therapy is a commitment and a process of growth and self-discovery, and in my sessions I promote transformation by encouraging an exploration of your roots and adoption of new attitudes and reactions. As an EMDR practitioner, certified in other trauma-informed approaches, and most importantly an advocate for gratitude and mindfulness, I have the tools and professional experience to help you get back on track. Whatever your needs may be, my goal is to help you make sense of your past to become more confident as you work through life’s present challenges, create healthy relationships, and live a healthier, more fulfilling life.

Get to Know Me

I am a licensed psychotherapist  in Ventura County and have been practicing for 12 years across Los Angeles and Ventura Counties. I have worked with individuals from 0-70 years old facing issues including but not limited to, childhood trauma, anxiety and panic disorders, PTSD, addiction, divorce, grief/loss, depression, relationships, and challenges associated with adoption. I received my undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Spanish from Loyola Marymount University and completed my formal education journey (for now) with the Pepperdine Graduate School of Clinical Psychology in 2011. I have worked in child welfare since 2014 and have a soft spot for children. What have I learned thus far? I know that it’s important to value each individual and honor their history to truly understand them. I know that what happens to people does not define them. Most importantly, I know that we are all a work in progress and healing is possible - not just because I’ve studied it but because I’ve seen it transpire right in front of me. I truly care about my patients because my passion for helping others runs deep.
